Basic Information
We print your ready to go color managed files on our ZBE Chromira paper writer. We use Fuji Crystal Archive paper with your choice of glossy, matte and supergloss surface. We do not cut the prints. We roll them and put them in a box for you to cut at your studio.
Responsibility
We run your file without making any changes to it. All color management, sizing and final outcome is in your hands. We suggest doing some testing to make sure you are on target. We do not offer remakes on any of our File Ready sevices.
Submitting Files
You should be familiar with color management before using our Chromira File Ready Service. Go to our Color Management area and learn some of the necessary basics.
- Files can be submitted on digital media as well as our FTP Service. Go to FTP and we will set up a user account for you. We have made setting up an account simple.
- Submit only the files you want printed.
- Size the files at your final print size at 300 dpi. If borders are desired, they need to be set up within the file as well.
- Files must be submitted as .tif or .jpg format only. These are the only file formats supported by the Chromira.
- If you are submitting .jpg files, save them as Baseline, not Progressive.
- Files must be in 8-bit per channel, using SRGB or Adobe 98 colorspace. Files must be flattened with no layers. Delete all alpha-channels.
- Do not use compression and make sure when you save out of Photoshop that LZW compression is not selected.
- Tic marks are absolutely necessary for you to easily determine where to trim your prints. This is especially important when your prints will have borders or you are setting up multiple prints. Go to Tic Marks to see how to add them to your file.
Chromira Profiles
It is not necessary for you to download Chromira Profiles. Our ZBE Chromira will automatically add the profiles.
