We monitor each process to ensure consistent
results and precise processing. |
E6 Processing
Here at Photographic Works we use Fuji chemistry and rack and tank processors to achieve
the finest results. We mount slides in plastic mounts and package them in professional plastic
boxes. All uncut film is sleeved in archival sleeving and packaged in sturdy cardboard boxes.

Push/Pull Adjustments and Snip Test
We are happy to push or pull your film in any increment you request. If you are unsure what you need to
have your film adjusted to, let us know at what ISO you rated your film. We will adjust the process
accordingly.
If you are unable to view and evaluate your snip test or your test sheet of film, let us be your eyes. We can
call or e-mail you with our suggestions. You can also request us to go ahead and use our experienced
judgment.
Slide Imprinting
We are able to imprint your slides with any information you need. Number and date imprinting is available
when requested.

C41 Color Negative and Black &White Processing
We use rack and tank processors for both C41 and B&W films. We
process using Fuji C41 chemistry for our quality C41 negative
processing. |
B&W film is processed in Kodak Xtol developer and is processed at development times specific for your type
of film. We go the extra step and archival wash all B&W film.

Cross Processing / XPro
Cross processing is an interesting technique in which E6 slide
or transparency film is processed in C41 (color negative) chemistry. Less
common is processing C41 negative film in E6 chemistry. The results
are very skewed color and contrast. Cross processing is sometimes
called XPro as an abbreviation. |
• E6 slide and transparency film in C41 chemistry has a negative appearance on a clear base.
• C41 negative film processed in E6 chemistry is a positive image on an orange base.
It is important to be specific and mark the rolls you want cross-processed. You may need to experiment to
determine correct exposure, and if you require push processing.

Ship us your film for processing
Click on Order and follow the simple instructions and ship us your film. Depending on the amount of film sent
we will usually process and ship it back the same day we receive it.
